Speech and Debate:
  - 1st. Semester: Speech writing and demographics. How to give a speech. Public speaking skills. Expository, extemporaneous, demonstrative, oratory, and interpretive speeches.

Creation Geology: geology & paleontology from a young Earth Creationist perspective, structure of the Earth, features, erosion, rocks, fossilization, dating, processes, etc. this class will be supplemental for most students

Everyone Can Spell: Improve spelling skills by learning spelling rules and using various method of re-enforcements. All worksheets and other materials will be provided, dictionary skills, root words, prefixes, suffixes, vocabulary, etc. Scholastic Spelling Works word list

Jonathan Parks Science: Listening to one episode of Jonathan Park Creation Adventure series followed by discussion or activities which correlate to that episode. The topics will center around the Bible & Creation Science

States & History: Learn a little about each state, some homework, snacks from each state, some crafts

Stop, Drop, Read: Reading aloud character building & fun books. Possible chapter books as skills develop. Circle time and time for personal reading and /or looking at supplied books

Story of the World Vol. 3: serious students only. Reading @ home, narration, participate in class activities

Tennessee History: Using fun, creative, hands on unit study approach to learn the history of TN. Breaking down the 3 regions studying the people and places of TN. Creating a notebook and lapbooks of Tennessee , government & how it works.

TCA Youth Choir: how to sing in a group setting, will be taught basic music reading skills including musical notation, rhythm and meter. Students will be taught how to sing parts in a group setting through the use of choral music of various styles. TCA Youth Choir will represent Trinity Christian Academy by performing at various community events thought the school year.

Themed Art: Learning through art. Different theme each month, the season, being thankful, Presidents, holidays

U.S. History: continue with history where presidents left off
